She stands in the middle,
of a crowded, loud room.
The dancers whirl round her,
like the eye of a storm.
She's stuck in the middle,
alone and lost,
what's she doing here?
She asks herself.
She doesn't know.
Heart racing,
hands fluttering,
she trys to force her way out.
Pushing and shoving the dancers,
they shove back.
The dance comes to a stand still,
no one says a word,
she's back to standing in the middle,
of the storm.
Falling to her knees,
the tears stream down her cheeks.
A hand, gentle and big,
touches her chin,
lifts her face up to the light.
Don't cry.
Arms under hers,
hands supporting her.
Her angel all in black,
lifts her up,
and dances her away.
The crowd all claps,
her tears cease to flow,
she's found her heart,
her home,
in the arms of her angel.
They dance out and away,
not into night,
but into a brand new day.
