Was there any truth,
behind those lies?
Any glimmer of a soul,
in that person.
When you lied,
you made sure,
you were always looking me in the eyes,
smiling and laughing.
Joking and playing.
You continue to do these things now,
even though you know you've broken me.
Even though you now know I am in pieces,
from your lies.
I wake up in the morning,
a zombie of myself,
I cry myself to sleep,
the pain runs excruciatingly deep.
I watch you laugh along with others,
smiling and getting along.
And I can't help but wonder,
am I the only one you lied to,
or are there more,
lost souls like mine,
wandering, wandering,
mourning their own stupidty,
because they fell for a fallen angel?

Interesting play on words at the end.
very well done. sounds like what i wrote when i was fourteen :) though mine weren't as deep. keep on writing!
hey,
it's really a touching one, because one of my close friend is exactly going through the same kind of situation you have narrated
Good Work, keep it up!
I completely understand this poem, because I've been there myself, and that is a hard place to walk through in life.
Your writing is excellent, I really enjoy it.
Cool writing! I love it so much.
So deep, so meaningfull!
Keep the good work
I really like this writing. I like the way you ended it. It was a small twist, but not as much. And it is one of those poems people can relate to. I think the way you phrased certain things. You should really continuing writing.
If you would like to hear one of my poems, well i only have one OKAY one on my blog, but send me an email and you can read it.
